"Hi, I'm Champ. Born on February 15, 2000, I'm a sixty (60) pound, nine (9) year old male Boxer Mix. I was rescued from Snow Hill, Maryland, where I had been living outside on a chain. When I was surrendered, I was treated for Heartworms, Ehrlichia, and Lyme Disease. I am very laid back and would enjoy living in a quiet home with older children due to my own age. If Aunt Pat had to describe me in one word, it would be 'sweet.'"

Our handsome Champ came to APFL in October of 2008. He deserves a special home and family to make up for many years of living the life of a lonely outside dog. Please help us find Champ the 'forever home' he deserves. (04/26/2009)

"Hi, my name is Alice. I'm a sweet little nine (9) pound female muted tabby. Born, around August of 2006, I was rescued from a life of hunting for my next meal in and around dumpsters. I had been living near some townhouses in Salisbury until some nice people rescued me and surrendered me to Aunt Pat so that I'd have a safe, loving place to stay where I'd no longer be forced to fight for my food. What I need now is a quiet household with a loving family."(04/19/2009)

"Hi. My name is Prince. I'm a very friendly approximately two and a half (2-1/2) year old Buff Tabby who weighs around ten (10) pounds. I am front declawed and am vision impaired due to serious untreated eye infections I had when I was younger. Born on a farm, I was taken to a local vet's office because the owner of the farm couldn't keep me, but he didn't want to see me suffer with my eyes infected. I can see shadows and am completely litter box trained. APFL was asked by the vet's office to take me in and find me a good home. I would do well with dogs, cats and kids. Will you help me find a 'forever' home? I would love to be someone's Prince Charming." (04/12/2009)
Adopted Thursday, January 28, 2010

"Hello. My name is Lucky. I'm a sweet four (4) year old Korean Jindo who weighs around forty-five (45) pounds."

This beautiful girl has a "worldly" past. APFL was contacted in July of 2008 by a Jindo rescue group to intervene with Lucky because she required extensive training due to a language barrier. Lucky spent her first years of life with a Korean family and only understood Korean commands. When the family had to move, she was surrendered to Montgomery County Humane Society in Maryland. Because of her limitations, she needed extra time and patience and APFL was the perfect place for her. Lucky is shy and is in need of a quiet home without any dogs, cats, or children. She will be an extremely loyal companion but will not do well in an active or noisy household. (04/05/2009)

"Hi there. My name is Dottie. I am an adorable ten (10) pound brown tabby, although I'm actually black and gray. My markings are very elegant with a shiny black stripe running down my back. I am approximately two and a half (2-1/2) years old and am very sweet and friendly. In the Spring of 2007, I came to live with Aunt Pat after I was rescued in Milford, Delaware. I am cat, dog, and kid-friendly. Please help me find a 'forever home'." (03/29/2009)

"Hello. My name is Mittens. I am a fifteen (15) pound majestic male orange tabby with white and I am around nine (9) years old.
When my owner passed away, my mom and I were surrendered for adoption and came to live with Aunt Pat. My momma was adopted, but I was left behind. The best place for my laid-back personality would be a quiet home and I absolutely adore being brushed. I'm hoping to find a loving home." (03/22/2009)

"Hi everybody! I'm handsome Howie. Weighing in at forty-three (43) pounds, I'm a sixteen (16) month old Bassett Hound / Labrador Mix. After being hit by a car in Virginia, I was treated for my injuries and brought here to find a "forever" home. I am very energetic and since I am a "hound dog," I love to "sing." I would be comfortable in a family with other dogs, cats, and kids. I love attention and love to play. Please help me find a loving home." (03/15/2009)
Adopted Saturday, April 18, 2009

"Hello. My name is Danny, formerly known as Diesel Dan. I was found with two other kittens around an engine in a diesel truck. When I arrived at Aunt Pat's, I would hiss at anyone who came near me and there was no doubt about the capacity of my lungs. I could meow loud enough to be heard over the dogs barking. I was very feisty and frightened for a short time, but with the feeling of safety and lots of tender loving care, I have become a very sweet and handsome two (2) year old male orange tabby. I would be comfortable with dogs, cats, and kids. I love attention, love to play, and I am looking for a loving home." 03/08/2009

"Hi there. I am Vegas. I'm a beautifully sleek four (4) year old black female cat, weighing fourteen (14) pounds. I am very friendly and more than willing to "speak" my mind. "Hello everyone. My name is Olga. I was born on March 13, 2003 and am a fifty-three (53) pound Boxer Mix. Before being given to Aunt Pat, I was kept on a chain inside a chicken house after experiencing some trauma which left me with facial scars and a lost toe. Completely deaf, I have learned to understand some hand signals. I am very sweet and would be good with cats, dogs, and older children. I do need a fenced-in yard for lots of room to run and play." 02/22/2009
Adopted Friday, May 28, 2010

We would like to introduce you to Raymond and Rusty, known affectionately as the Orange Brothers to us at APFL. These orange tabbies are approximately four and a half (4-1/2) years old and weigh about ten (10) pounds. Raymond is the lighter of the two, has an 'M' on his forehead, and has a healed hematoma on his right ear. Rusty is darker, more of a rust color; hence the name 'Rusty.' Rescued from a local apartment complex, these boys are shy, but quite the clowns. If you're having a bad day, either one or both of them can make you laugh. They are cat and dog friendly. Raymond and Rusty are hoping to find a loving family and a "forever" home."   (02/15/09)
(*Pawnote: Although these boys are being profiled together, it is not necessary for them to be adopted together.)
